    Hi there,

I’ve been using the foodtidings website for quite some time and am LOVING the service. Thank you so much!

I’ve been having some difficulty with the “delete” function on the “my schedules” page. Every now and then it deletes the wrong schedule. Is there any way to retrieve a schedule that has been inadvertently deleted? Furthermore, would it be possible to fix the bug? It’s happened 3 times now.

Thank you again for this amazing website!

Hi there! We’re so glad you are enjoying the services our site is providing! And what’s more, it’s so awesome that you’re helping so many by bringing them meals.
I’m so sorry that there has been difficult with the delete function, that’s got to be so frustrating! I have passed this along to our team, and we are in the works of figuring out how we can fix this. Thank you so much for your patience!
If it happens again, could you let us know? Thank you!!

        Hi Lisa,

Thanks for getting back to me. I just tried the delete function again, and it deleted the wrong calendar again. Another thing I’ve noticed that may be related to this issue is that the order in which the calendars appear on the “my schedules” page changes all the time. They don’t appear in chronological or alphabetical order and it changes every time I load the page. This is not an issue for me, and it may have nothing to do with the incorrect deleting issue, but I just thought I’d mention it in case they are related.

Thanks for your help! Please let me know if/when this issue gets resolved so I can start deleting some of my old calendars.

        Thanks so much!
        Elisa

I had three current meal plans going and can’t access any of them. Any help would be appreciated.

First, we are very sorry that our site has been down again. We absolutely know how important this service is when you are relying upon it! Second, I want to apologize for our lack of communication today. No excuses, you deserved to hear from us. We are changing our hosting at this point. We are feeling very let down by Go Daddy because of the unstable service. As a result we are switching to ensure that this doesn’t happen again!
As I write this I am also aware that the way we are feeling about Go Daddy is likely how you are feeling about Food Tidings. I will ask humbly if you could please remain patient and know that we are very concerned on your behalf and on behalf of those to whom you are pledging your service. We ask for your forgiveness and are promising that we will be in frequent communication from this point forward. Thank you sincerely!
Zach, Lisa and the FT Team

    Hi Lisa,

Thanks so much for this brilliant tool! I have been making meal rosters for years and this will be a huge help!

is there a way that I can use this as a tool for pastoral care at our church? does everyone have to be personally invited or can they go to foodtidings website and find what families we are currently doing meals for or is there a limit as to how many invites are sent out? we have a large church family of 600+ . Any ideas or advice would be gratefully received 🙂

    grace and peace, Chelle.

Hi Chelle! Thanks so much, we are so happy that you are finding Food Tidings to be so helpful!! We have actually been talking about this very thing! For now, the best way to do this, and what we’re hearing from many who have a meals ministry through their church is to create a ministry for meals. Then gather the info of people who would like to cook when the need arises, and then that would be your database for inviting others to participate in cooking and bringing meals (or even ordering them a meal out!) to those in need in your church body.

There is not a limit to how many invites are sent out, but I would suggest for a bigger amount of invites, and for the purpose of keeping really good track of it all, to use your own personal email for that. We provide you with a link to the schedule once it’s finished, and you can copy and paste that into an email to anyone you’d like, and you can include the link in personal Facebook messages as well.

I hope that is helpful! I’m so sorry in my delayed response. If you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us! Thank you again for using Food Tidings- we truly appreciate you!!

      Warmly,
      Lisa
