With St. Patrick’s Day coming up, I thought it would be fun to share some great recipe ideas with you. I found some great ones onFood Network, and my favorite looks to be Melissa’s Shepherd’s Pie.

It’s true that I may be a little partial since my last name is Shepherd…. but also all the ingredients in there are just delicious! This could be a spectacular meal to bring someone this week as we near St Patrick’s Day.

Don’t forget to wear green on Sunday, so you don’t get pinched! 😉

Oh, and here are a few really cute printables you can bring with your meal to spruce things up and add a little color! GREEN color, that is!

This cutie printable I found on Pinterest, and it’s from The Hands On Housewife.

This idea is SO great to bring someone along with a meal. It’s from Pumpkin Petunia.

I use your website often for our church’s Meal Ministry. SUGGESTION 1. It would be most helpful if you had a section where you could put the AGES OF CHILDREN in a family. This gives the cook an idea of how much to cook, and who they are cooking for. Are the children infants, toddlers, young kids, teenagers? All these change the portion size.
For example, a family of 2 adults and 1 child. If the child is an infant/newborn the cook needs not need to cook for them, but if the child is 6-16 years old this changes the portion size.

A SECOND SUGGESTION is the TIME when people drop off meals. Is there any way you can design your website for wording and not only numbers. For instance I would like to tell our cooks that you can drop off meals “anytime after 3:00 pm” or “4:30pm-:5:30pm”. At this stage your website does not allow for these options.

Hi Nadia! Great to hear from you! Glad to hear your Church’s Meal Ministry uses our website- thank you! And thank you for the suggestions- they’re great. As far as the ages of children- the best place to put that info is in the “other” box. Then people can read ages, and know the best portions to bring. For now, I’m not sure that we’ll be able to add a space for the ages, it’ll just have to go in the “other” box. The participants will still read that info. We just have many, many other things we’re working on adding! 🙂

And as far as the time, this is something that we are going to be adjusting. It should be in the near future, so stay tuned for that. I like this suggestion, and agree with you that allowing for wording as well as numbers is important.

Again, thank you so much for your suggestions- we welcome feedback and love hearing from our users! If you ever need anything, don’t hesitate to contact us again!!

      Warmly,
      Lisa
